House Pics
Wow, I’m on a roll today…Guess that happens when you get up too early on a Saturday.
I’ve finally gotten the rest of my house pictures up. You can view pictures of the entire process of the build, from the empty lot to the present.

I still can’t believe you have a “real” house! And not just that, but a 3 bedroom house! I like the UK Room. Make sure if you have any guests from NC that you *make* them sleep in there! I had to sleep in a room w/ a Duke banner once-it was horrible! haha Anyway, congrats it looks very nice! Grown up, yet still a bachelor’s house! haha

I’ve been in Chris’ house many times before and it’s very sweet! As us teenagers say: His crib is tight yo!

Bryan dont start thinking its that easy and that he is in full financial bliss. There is a lot to learn about managing money. I would suggest start saving now.

I’m not sure the “economic bliss” is what God has for everyone anyway. I think that if I was “set” financially I might have a harder time depending on him for my everyday needs. Maybe some can be dependent while they are in a “blissful” life, but I’m not there yet.

yeah, where did this financial bliss thing come from Bryan? I’ve got more bills than ever, have a tighter budget, and can’t take trips and such like I used to. Not that I’m strapped for cash or anything, but just because I have a house doesn’t mean I’m in “financial bliss.”

You know when I was home someone was talking about how they think that prosperity is a gift from God… yeah I can see that is true sometimes, but it almost seemed like he was saying that the lack of prosperity is because of not being obedient/righteous/whatever… that I’m not so sure I agree with. What do you all think? Is our “riches” a sign of God’s blessing? Is it in proportion to what we deserve? I alreay have my thoughts but I’d like to hear yours.

Yes, I think riches are a sign of God’s blessing. However, those riches are different from what the world defines them as. Having a mansion, expensive car, lots of clothes, etc. doesn’t necesarily mean that the person has been blessed by God. On the other hand, the bum on the street with nothing could be the richest person in the world. It’s not a richness we can see though. The internal peace of God and other unseen gifts could make him rich in a way that we all dream of.
God gives His faithful followers exactly what they need at exactly at the time they need it, so I don’t think that a lack of prosperity means a person isn’t faithful, obedient, etc.

Now this is a topic I can chime in on.
I totally 100% disagree that our blessing and favor is God can be measured by our wealth and successes on earth. Prosperity theology is a dangerous thing. Dangerous for us to think that our position with God can be measured by the blessings that we have been given. It is also dangerous to demand God to bless us beyond the ultimate blessing, Jesus Christ. The passage in Luke 6:20-26 is a great passage to read. So is 1 Timothy 6:7-10.

I totally agree with you Chris. There are a lot of rich (wealthy) people in the world today that are not rich (In God’s Love). Happiness, Delight, and respect for yourself and What God has to offer you is a lot more important than financial wealth. I believe that some financial stability comes with our faith in God but we have to remember that is for Him and not for us.

Well Chris just moved into that house at last July I belive. Once he gets his house and Car payed off, or gets himself a spouse then I think he will be in a “Financial bliss.” When you are married the bills are easily split… Am I not right? Or am I just talking nonsense?

OK OK, I really do understand that Chris has a stack of bills tuggin at his paycheck…
