  1. That was interesting but not as exciting as I was expecting. Maybe its just the fact that I really should be in bed.

  2. I liked teh cell phone in the air plane thing. I can see back in the day of actual cellular phones that ran in lower spectrums, but today’s GSM and 3G phones operate on WAY different frequencies than the equipment in planes. I never turn my phone off.

  3. ooookay, onto another page. Turning off the PC without shutting it down is okay? That is a huge bit of bad advice. Windows loads up device drivers, dll’s etc into memory and just like their advice on the usb devices - if you shut it down while something is processing (foreground or background) its going to cause problems. hello lost clusters and crossed files. sheesh, that is bad advice.
Here is more info on the shutdown shortcut:

The laptop battery discussion only mentioned Nicad and Lithium ions, but no mention on NiMH? Many low end laptops use NiMH because they are cheaper, but after time can develop similar problems as NiMH.
Overall, i think this article may be over rated. I can’t honestly say these are the “Hot Topics” or rumors in the PC world. What about the MAc is Faster than a x86 PC? We all know that is bogus
    Man i’m a…nerd.

  5. Yeah, some of the myths were a little sketchy, and I’m a little surpised they didn’t bust some with a “5″ rating. Seems they were a little wishy-washy on the busting. I, too, thought there would be some more “hot topic” myths, but wanted to pass it on anyway.

  6. Right — so the content couldn’t live up to the headline — wouldn’t eb the first time. Most fo the ‘myths’ were just stupid stuff.
