Rafting
Thanks to an invite from my brother, I’m gonna be going white water rafting soon! A group of about 24 people, mostly from UK, will be heading out to West Virginia on Aug 14-16 to raft on the New and/or Gauley Rivers, through USA Raft. We’ll be heading out on Saturday, camping that night, then rafting on Sunday. We’ll camp out that night and then head back on Monday. Well, that’s the plan as of now at least 
Anyway, this got me thinking about the last time I went rafting. It was the summer of 1996, when my immediate family and maternal grandparents took our “grand tour” of the west. While in Colorado, my dad, brother, grandpa and I decided to take on the adventure of rafting, so we hit the Arkansas River. Quite a memorable time. I had my mom hunt around for the picture…fun times:

To defend myself in this picture. I had just recently lost my paddle and just reached out and grabbed it. That is why I am holding it in the middle of the paddle as I try to regain control of my paddle and get in position for the upcoming rapid. Just thought I would share. Chris did not fall out here either, for his defense.

I’m such a great brother as well to invite my brother for all these wonderful adventures and trips. Just so you know Chris the official count is now up to 28 as of last night.

Ashlee, I’m pretty sure that’s the number van came up with the other night. It’s at least 26 if not 28.
