Topics
Well, as I’ve said several times before, I want to do more personal writing and be more reflective and deep with the posts, not just be links and such to other sites. I’m actually having some trouble thinking about topics to write about, though, and need a little kick-start. That’s where you, the reader, comes into play. If you have some thoughts on this, post a comment about some issues and topics that you would like for me to possibly write about. I may not cover everything that is mentioned, but it’ll at least help me get the ball rolling…
Thanks, readers!

Man, just talk about something… the blogging world has gotten quiet!

Agree! Though if you read my 2nd to last post I am going on hiatus for a little while

Gotten quiet? I’ve blogged 5 things in the past two days. Granted they aren’t deep or reflective or anything like that, but nonetheless, it’s activity. What I was getting at were the “deep” issues. Anything on anyone’s mind that they would like to have a discussion on or hear my views about?

I know you had mentioned mission work before on your “Life” list of things to do-maybe that’s where you could start. Write about things that you are passionate about. Just the other day I sat and thought about how much I love to face paint and how much I would love to incorporate face painting and other creative activities into mission work. There’s my two cents.

Talk among yourselfs about the Holy Roman Empire, and how it wasn’t holy or roman.

What are you wanting to do in terms of mission work. Not that it is up to you, but ideally what would you like to do? I’ve heard many groups talk about needing someone with computer skills to do missions and meet needs in those regards.

Important topic brought up earlier would be the election. Looks like a dead heat and there are a lot of decisions to be made by those in charge. highly recommend to everyone to some time listen to a liberal point of view as well as a conservative point of view. Check out air america once and then check out fox news to see how things have spin to make one group sound better than the other. It is interesting to hear different thoughts. That way hopefully the best decision can be made. Speaking of fox news has anyone else heard about the lawsuit against them concerning the fair and balance saying they have. What are things coming to is all I have to say.

Talk about Rhode Island, it is neither a road nor an island. Discuss
or.
Talk about the Cold War, it was neither cold, nor a war.

Talk about Canadians. They are always being stereotyped… That makes me angry. People think that is very cold all year around and everywhere. They think that they have a polar bear chained up as a pet and live in igloos (iglues?) And the most ridiculous thing of all (thanks to south park) that they have ‘flappy’ mouths. It’s time people learn that canada and america have more in common than they we think…

Sports is a good topic. I feel like I have a life again since I can even think about sports.

Sorry Chris.. Just have to rub it in. Maybe they will do better tomorrow night.

I have a good thought to consider since the mention of politics came up….is it possible to be a Christian and a liberal? Should Church and State be seperate and is that really what the founding fathers meant? Or were they just basing that statement on their experiences with English monarchs.

Sean, interesting comment, considering I had that very conversation just last night with a friend. We started talking about several topics that often seperate liberals with conservatives. She is a Christian but had some political beliefs that I thought disagreed with the Bible. And was trying to say that she can’t let her religious beliefs control her political. That as America, we have to be fair and tolerant of other people, Ie: gay rights etc.

Nick, when you get up here we’ll dig out the playstation and call up Tim and Jeremy to play some blitz.
Jul 28th, 2004 at 10:02:33
Sean actually has suggested a very pertinent issue that could led to some very good discussions. Part of the discussion depends on how you define a “liberal” and what their beliefs are. There are conservative Christians and liberal Christians, so to have conservative and liberal politics is feasible (and exist) and they may not be that different after all.
