New Bike!
Yay, I finally got a bike! I used to have one, but my parents got rid of it when I moved out. Didn’t really have the space or the finances for it when I was at my apartment, so I’ve had to wait until now.
I went out to Montgomery Cyclery to check out their selection and came away with a Trek Navigator 300. Seems like a nice, confortable, quality bike. Had a chance to ride a little today and it rode pretty well.
And yes, I did already wreck
Got a little too cocky going too fast down a hill, and the bike decided not to go around a corner like I wanted it to. Only a skinned knee, luckily. Some of life’s lessons have to be learned the tough way I guess…

Not to worry, I did get a helmet, along with several other goodies (pump, underseat bag, water bottle holder, etc)

Did you get a camelback? You aren’t a biker till you get a camelback and the shorts. Then you are a biker.

Chicks dig scars anyway. I’ve got quite a many from my early bike wrecks on my new bike, getting use to the slick tires skinny tires.

Oh, yes, those slick tires are what got me, though they aren’t exactly skinny

I have somehow grown a fear of going too fast on my bike… Maybe if I find my helmet and wear it while riding I won’t be so afraid going down a small hill without using my brakes.
I’m not sure I could handle a road bike with the skinny, slick tires. THey go too fast!
