Time for a Pet?
Growing up with my parents, we always had some kind of animal around the house. Cats, rabbits, hermit crabs… Ever since I moved out on my own, I’ve thought about getting a pet, most likely a cat. I’m much more of a cat person than a dog person. Up until now, though, I didn’t think I was ready to take care of a pet. I think it’s time, though. Knowing that I’ve managed to keep my plant alive for a year now gives me hope for a pet
I think I’ll visit the pound in a week or two and see what kittens are available…

I don’t like cats. I like kittens. Kittens are cute and fun, but they eventually grow up to be cats. I like dogs because of their loyalty.

I dont like either. Not a shock to many but I think if I were to like one or the other overall. I would have to say a dog though I am not sure why I say that because I dont like dogs because they jump on me, lick, and can be meaner than a cat. But cats are not as clean and seem to be messer than dogs. Thats my opinion. Go for a fish

I’ve got a cat, and we get along pretty well. It’s nice having a pet around the house, since I live alone.
I’d get it declawed if you are keeping it inside.

Although I am an overall animal lover, my true loyalty belongs to cats, especially fuzzy ones. Here are a few things to consider when purchasing a pet: 1) Dogs usually obey better than cats, I’m sure it’s just the nature, 2) Generally, you can leave a cat alone if you decide to take a vacation so that’s a plus b/c they go in the litter box, where dogs you have to take out to go to the bathroom, 3) If you do decide to buy a kitten/cat don’t get a white one with blue eyes b/c they are deaf-heard that somewhere, but seriously fuzzier ones are cuter, even if they shed I think it’s worth it. Sorry this is booty-long! Happy Hunting Chris!

Cats also don’t make a lot of noise, don’t jump all over your guests, slober on stuff, they clean themselves, and like soneone else said, can be left alone for a weekend no probs!

I want to comment on the advice about the white cat with blue eyes. My parents have a white cat with 1 blue eye and 1 green eye who is deaf. He’s an indoor cat (obviously for safety reasons). I’m not a big cat person, but he’s awesome. He has more personality than any cat I’ve ever known! He loves to be messed with (spinning him around in circles, holding him upside down, etc) and he never gets mad.
