Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
I went to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow this weekend. This movie is supposed to be a first of it’s kind, shot entirely in front of a blue screen. That means all the backgrounds and such for the entire movie were done with computers and such. All the acting was done in a studio in front of the blue screen, rather than on location. I have to say they did a pretty good job. While I could notice some issues, they did a pretty good job blending the actors into the background, and vice versa. Something I did notice throughout the movie were bits and pieces of other movies such as Jurassic Park, The Matrix, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones to name a few. Overall, the movie was slightly better than I expected it to be. I would give it a B-

I’ve heard a lot of people say that it is a good movie. I just can’t bring myself to go see it though. I just don’t like the way it looks.
