Awesome Weekend

Haunted Maze

What an awesome and busy weekend I had! It all started with the Halloween Party at the SwinGallery on Thursday.

Then, on Friday, Lori, Mindy, Jennifer, Jeff, and I went to a
Haunted Corn Maze. It wasn’t actually a maze, more like a path. And I won’t say it was scary, because Mindy and I laughed through most of it, but it was still fun.

Saturday, I went to Bill and Andrea’s party. As always, their Halloween decorations were awesome. They know how to do it right! They even had a “graveyard” with tombstones and markers for all the guests. We played games, watched Dawn of the Dead, and just had a good ol’ time.

Halloween Party

And Sunday was my Halloween party. Had a pretty good turnout, with about 25-30 people showing up throughout the night. We had a good time playing games, watching the cat play with a plastic spider and, of course, making fun of Nick and his mom. :-) Lori, Kari and I even performed the Thriller dance… Thanks to everyone who came! Pictures from my party are in the gallery.

I had my first trick-or-treaters, too - a whole 4 of them :-) I wasn’t around last year, so I missed passing out candy. I’m in a new section of the neighborhood, and there aren’t many kids around, so at least some showed up this year.

  1. OK, Chris, since I’ve been working at the haunted corn maze for the past month, and since you just dissed it, I’m gonna have to offer my 2 cents on it. ;-) First off, of course it as just a path. If you wanted a maze you should have gone through the regular maze. And you guys came on the last weekend that it was open. Half the things we had were broken and not nearly enough people were showing up anymore by then. Though I am sorry (and i’m apologizing for my peers) if you guys didn’t feel you got your money’s worth. There were probably a bunch of empty scenes and not enough people that we would have liked in each scene that we did have open. I’ll admit, we did want to scare adults, but we could really only scare the poop out of little kids… but oh what a good job we did of that ;-) There were some scary things. Like the jail scene (i did this one once) where the guy bent the bars and came after you. And the emergency room scene (that’s the one i usually worked, and enjoyed the most. I was the patient on the table lol), and the slaughter house( that was our best scene, those skulls and bones you saw there, and all throughout the maze, were real. The tombstones you saw were also real). And what about the very realistic, (being sarcastic) huge spider that fell down in front of you in the middle of the maze. And of course, the chainsaw people, now if you were’nt scared of that than yo all are just crazy lol. Just kidding. I do hope it was fun though. Come back next year, it’ll be better. However, this was kind of an embarresment for the Ryle FFA (i’m in that), Mike Dairing, and Bruce Ferginson. Ya know, how it wasn’t as ‘thourough’, and scary as it should have been. Geesh I’m just dreading what Schmidt is going to say Tommorow. Atleast I had fun… and at least I got to see those little girls run in terror lol. I don’t have a voice right now from all the screaming i did Sunday night! What I’m trying to say Chris, is, yea it was kind of cheesy, but you don’t have to chant it to the world! Just Kidding… I guess. It’s late and I have no idea what I’m saying. I’m going to bed. :-)

  2. Hey Chris, had a great time at your party…as usual!
