Another Trip

Wednesday morning, my dad and I set off for a trip down to my grandparents’ farm in Owensboro. I just visited my grandparents a couple weeks ago, but my dad, a landscaper, has a “tree farm” down there, where he plants trees young, and “harvests” them when they get big enough to use in [...]

Christmas Time Already?

Wow, is it really that time of year already?!? Seems to be… Earlier this week, on the short trip to my parents’ place, I passed 4 houses with Christmas lights up and on already. I’ve seen several more since then and imagine many more will be up before Thanksgiving. I think it’s [...]

Smart Traffic Light

Very interesting tactic that Pleasanton, CA is taking to help solve the problem of drivers who speed. City engineers have created a traffic light that senses when a speeder is approaching and immediately turns from green to yellow to red. Nice idea! Target Bans Salvation Army Kettles

This may be old news to some, but since it’s getting to be that time of year, I wanted to bring this to the forefront again. Poll - What’s your favorite fast-food restaurant?

Vote now: What’s your favorite fast-food restaurant?

Schwarzenegger for President?

The AP, via Yahoo, has an article about a Silicon Valley-based group that is backing an ammendment to the constitution that would allow foreign born citizens the chance to become President. (Notice there is a difference between being born in the country and actually being a US citizen) Hmm, I’m not sure how I [...]

Perfectionism

This is a devotion that read last week about perfectionism. I thought it was interesting and wanted to pass it along. I know that I’m a perfectionist at times, and that it can be good or bad, depending on what it’s about. Some things I want perfect, while others I don’t care [...]

New Brand for Kentucky - Round 2

Thanks to ChickenScratch for reminding me about this.
As mentioned earlier, Kentucky is looking for a new brand. They had four logos/slogans listed on www.kentucky.gov/brand/ and are doing a couple rounds of voting to narrow down which logo will be used. The first elimination was made today. The loser? “Limitless.”
Head on over [...]
