New Google Search

Google never ceases to amaze me. They are constantly innovating and thinking outside of the box, blazing that trail where other search engines don’t go. Take for example the local Google search, the Google Images search, and Froogle, Google’s shopping/price comparison search. Then you have a calculator, conversion tool, phone book, and dictionary built into the search. Many of you have probably heard about the Google Desktop Search, used to search your hard drive for files and such. And let’s not forget Google in Pig Latin, Google in H4×0r (right up your alley, Ashlee :-)), and for you trekkies out there, Google in Klingon.

Much more useful than Pig Latin Google is a new beta search, called Google Suggest. Check it out; it’s pretty sweet. It’s sort of like AutoComplete for forms and the URL address bar of browsers, except this provides the number of results.

Check out Google Labs to see projects they are currently working on. Who knows what they’ll think of next!

  1. I’m sure I’ll make lots of use of the H4×0r! haha

You forgot to mention all the foreign languages you can google in too. I wonder if “Google” is a verb in the dictionary yet? haha

  2. Well actually, according to dictionary.com, google is, but not Merriam-Webster…

  3. hopefully all will agree that googol is a noun :-)
