2005 Goals

Here are some of my goals for 2005.

  • Find a job
    ‘Nuff said
  • Find a church
I’ve been looking for a church home for more than a year now, and it’s about time I stop being so picky, find a sound Biblical doctrine church and get plugged in.
  • Have daily quiet time
I haven’t had a consistent time with God on a daily basis for some time.
  • Eat healthier
I eat decently now, in moderation and don’t snack much, but I need to eat more fruits and veggies.
  • Exercise regularly
I definitely don’t get enough exercise right now. Since it’s hard to consistently get to the racquetball courts, or bike ride, or play dodgeball, I need to start doing some other exercises on a daily basis.
  • Practice my guitar and sax
Those poor things have been collecting dust for too long now, so I need get ‘em out and start jamming. Anybody wanna start a band?!? ;-)
  • Upgrade my blog software to the latest version
The new version of wordpress has some features I want, but I haven’t gotten around to upgrading yet.
  • Redesign my website
Yes, I know, I’ve already had two designs in less than a year, but I’m not satisfied yet.
  • Start my book
One of the things on my life to-do list is to write a book. I would like to at least start something this coming year.
  • Keep in contact with “long lost” friends
During my down time over the past couple of months, I’ve gotten in contact with some friends that I haven’t seen or heard from in years and I want to make sure I keep in touch with them.
  • Spend less time at the computer
Being a “computer guy,” I’m naturally going to spend most of my day in front of a computer, either because of my job or because that’s what I do in my leisure time. I want to cut back on the amount of time I spend staring at my monitor, though, at least by a little bit.
  • Cut back on TV
I don’t really watch a whole lot of TV, though I find it’s on a lot. I’ll have it on when I’m working at the computer or doing things around the house, and not really be watching it. I still want to not have the TV on for as much as I do, though.

  1. Those are very lofty goals and several of them I can relate to myself.
    -Excercise
    -Healthier Eating
-Less time in front of the computer

Sorry but you dont want me in your band :-), but good luck with that goal.

  2. I have a lot of the same goals. I would love to be in your band Chris. Once I make my first million I promised myself I would buy a drum set so I can be a cool drummer chic. Until then I’ll be in vocals: doe-rae-mi-fa-so-la-ti-doe. Just kidding-that’s way too formal for me-I need something with a bit more pizazz.

  3. That’s alot of goals. So have you found a job? I’m not following what you mean by nuff said.

  4. ‘Nuff said, as in I don’t need to explain why that’s a goal…

Lots of goals, maybe, but ones that should be doable, or at least need to be done.

  5. “…Spend less time at the computer…”

    Heresy!

  6. hey! does eating a million pizza rolls count as healthier eating? ;-)

  7. Chris.

When you start your book, I don’t know what you are going to write about but you can take a chapter to write about me. Just talk about the mystery man you know.

    Love Grandpa

  8. Lol, a million pizza rolls and potato skins definitely doesn’t constitute a healthy diet, but they sure do taste good!
