Site Update
Sweet, I finally got something going that I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. The banner image/logo at the top will now randomly change each time you visit the site. There are 11 banners that I have so far, all nature oriented, which I think add a nice touch to the site. Sure is better than the boring “chrisvaught.com” that I had on the old site. (Note that some browsers may not display a random image each time because of caching…)
Ah, the positive things that come out of huge screwups!
Thanks to Photo Matt’s Random Image Script for this improvement.
I’m still working on the commenting (if I remember right, my readers preferred the popup comments to what is in place now) as well as the sidebar and the non-blog pages (my bio, top 5 lists, etc). Hopefully, these will start rolling out soon.
Also, thanks to those of you who have sent my some of my old posts. Between my last backup, google’s cache, and those posts, I should be able to recover just about all of them. The only thing that looks like I’ve lost completely are the comments. I guess the posts are the important things at this point, but it’s sad to lose the discussions that we’ve had.
Thanks again for your patience in this matter.

Well… I do have to say that those banners are really pretty. They’re cool looking. Good Job!

No pop up comment box… anyway, I just thought I’d say sorry to hear about all the trouble you’ve had getting it up, but it looks good and fresh.

So do you own http://www.digitalwilderness.com ? Because I went there and there was some Resume’ for a Jerry Johnson?? Whatever… I’ll just stop now….

No, Bryan, I own digitalwilderness.net, which is currently down. It used to be my paintball team’s website and old website, but I’m using it for my own personal server now, which isn’t up at the moment.

Your site is looking a little crazy today. I can’t read the font it’s so small.

Was it just today that you had problems with it? Any one else having these problems?

It is looking ok today, but the last two days it was to small to see. And hey just a thought. If you took care of goal one on your list the others might be takend care of as well. Keep working on that one Chris. You can’t hold on too much longer so just go for something in the mean time.

David, my brother, you worry too much
I’ll find a job when the timing is right, when God has one ready for me. In the meantime, I am working some and have some income, so no worries mage. Hakuna Matata!

I had this open at school, and a friend looked over and said, “Isn’t that from dungeons and dragonns?” ( guess he meant “so no worries mage. Hakuna Matata!” or whatever…) Then he said “Ha… Dork” (to you Chris) whatever… Just thought I’d share my friend’s opinions on you since you rag on them so much…

Um, Bryan, Hakuna Matata is from the Lion King…
And mage was a typo…should say “No worries mate”
Since when do I rag on your friends? I mostly rag on you!
