Smokey made his first trip to the vet today. I’ve had him for about three months now, and since he grew up outside and didn’t get taken to the vet by his previous owner, I thought it was time to get him in for a checkup. Wow, Smokey’s awesome! He was on his best behavior, wowing the doctor and nurse, and getting showered with “How cute!” and “Great cat!” He was a little uncomfortable when his temperature was taken and didn’t like one of the shots, but other than that, he willingly let the doc check him out and do whatever needed to be done. I’m happy to report that so far, he’s come back with a clean bill of health. They’re still waiting on the results of one test, but all the rest came back clean. He started some of his vaccinations today, with the next round in 3 weeks. In about 6 weeks, I’m going to consider getting him fixed. Wonder how he’ll handle that….
