Super Bowl Round Up
The Game
For the third time in four years, the New England Patriots have won the NFL championship. Go Pats! I didn’t think it wasn’t a very exciting game, until the end that is. I was really surprised that T.O. played as much as he did. I had heard he would start the game and play some, but didn’t expect him to play near as much as he did, or to have as good of a game as he did. MVP honors went to Deion Branch, who tied a Super Bowl record with 11 receptions. Congrats to Coach Bill Belichick, who seems like a genuinely nice guy.
The Halftime
Honestly, I really didn’t watch much of it. We were playing a game, but from what I saw, it was pretty boring. Or “safe” as the Fox reps will say…
The Ads
Another fun part about the Superbowl are the ads. I was disappointed with them this year. They played some too much (the Mustang Convertible commercial) and the others were mostly lame. There were some the I liked, though I didn’t think any were fantastic. Here are the ones that I liked:
- FedEx: Dancing Burt
- Ameriquest: Cat Killer
- Mastercard: Mascots
- CareerBuilder.com: Monkey Business
- Frito Lay: MC Hammer Makes a Comeback

I thought it was a dull game too. I think all the flags didn’t help.
That was the worse on-side kick I’ve seen. They were better off kicking it long!
I knew NE would win, but I thought they’d win by more.

Yeah, you’re right, that was a bad onside kick. NE really should have won by more, and I was hoping for more scores, but at least they won.

I liked Bud Light tcommercial with the sky divers, and the pilot jumped out the airplane after the beer. Man, I wasn’t expecting that lol!

You know you’ve hot rock bottom when you’re willing to do a commerical that makes fun of yourself. Poor MC Hammer, you still Can’t Touch this, but now you wouldn’t want to.
