Anyone know Italian? I have this strange urge to learn a foreign language, Italian especially. Recently, I read John Grisham’s The Broker (great book, by the way…more on it later), which had the main character learning the language. I’ve also heard several other references to the Italian language on TV, in movies, or from friends.

Funny thing is that I’m not one to pick up a language that easily. I took Spanish in high school and college and learned it well enough to get by, but never was as fluid as other people in my classes. I do a lot better reading/hearing it than I do with speaking it. Though I still know “un poco español,” I don’t remember enough to have a conversation.

Maybe I’ll pick up one of those tapes that teaches a language…
