False Commenter

It has come to my attention that my cousin, Bryan, is posting comments using my name, email, and website on other people’s blogs (such as Jeff’s). Thankfully, the IP address for his comments are recorded and we can track them and determine that they are really from him. I’m posting about this just in case he has posted a comment on one of my readers’ sites. If you can view the IP address for the comments, mine will always start with 12.220.#.# while Bryan’s will usually be 216.68.#.# If there is a comment that is supposedly by me on your site that seems odd, let me know and I’ll take a look. I know his capitalization patterns and spellings pretty well by now, too…

  1. *Rolls Eyes* Yep that’s me, always doing something wrong. Why in the heck would I post as you? That’s just bizzare! Geesh… Even I couldn’t think of something that crafty (or crazy). It couldn’t have been my IP address… Do a double take. Now update this post and apologize please. This is embarressing and false. I respect you Chris… you know I do. Are you to say that I’m so bizzare as to post as you on other blogs? I don’t need the attention or laughs…

Jeff… That wasn’t me. Chris is just acting goofy again. Always puting me down. Trying to conspire against. Now I don’t know any better proof of that than what’s gong on here. I don’t know what else I’m can say. Just update the post and let everyone know that I’m not a s imature as you make me be. Just…Do it…Please…

  2. As Bryan’s brother, I can not be certain he is doing these things. However, I can say it sounds like something he would do.

  3. The IP address for the comment left on Jeff’s site matches EXACTLY the IP address of many comments on my site that had Bryan’s information. The comment came from the same computer, the computer at your house that Bryan uses, so either you, Bryan, or your mom left that comment. I can provide evidence of this

  4. Yeah, most programs that allow comments save the IP address of the person posting their comment. Even my crappy blog software does that. I had some people leave some demanding posts saying I had to take down some of my content because it was illegal. Of course I knew it was fake to begin with because if I had broken the law I would have been contacted personally. Plus, when I checked the IP address I knew it was someone from Circuit City. People need to realize when they post something on someones website, they can be traced.

  5. Look, I don’t feel like posting a long comment in my defense since I tried last night and couldn’t. But I will say that I am innocent and it hurts me that Chris would accuse me of such immature and demeaning deeds. Please take my words seiously as this is all Chris’ plot to pin something against me… like he does often. If you have a beef with me or are upset or curious about something than talk to me about it or thouroughly look into it…. Don’t go posting it on your website for the whole world to see… Embarressing me. Couldn’t you at least do that? Geesh… I’ll repect you when you respect me. Look at what you are doing!?… You realize that you’re harressing a 14 year old guy just for the attention. That may not be true but I think that is how it is coming off as. Since I know what is being said are facist lies than that is the only conclusion I can come to. Please everyone… Don’t make any judgements about me. And Jeff… Soryy for whomever posted on your site as Chris.

    In Jesus’ name…Amen

  6. No false comments on my site.

FYI…I probably have a couple ips because I will occassionally comment from work :-)

  7. That’s a good point Robin. You should listen to her. She’s smart! I’m freakin’ innocent!

  8. Yeah, most people do have multiple IP addresses, especially those unfortunate enough to still be on dialup. Having multiple IP addresses isn’t the issue here, though. The issue here was that it was the *same* IP address with *different and false* names/emails/websites associated with it. He’s done it before, too. He’s the only person I know who gets bored and starts leaving comments on random sites with fake info…

  9. Robin has also commented from other people’s computers too.. sometimes under their alais!

  10. The difference between the two is that Robin did it accidentally, and often followed up the comment with a note saying that it was her. Bryan, on the other hand, did this on purpose (like he has several other times), then lied about it. He does things like this to call attention to himself (he knew that I would find out and call him out), but he didn’t expect that I would call him out on my site. He has to learn to take responsibility for his actions, and to quit lying!

  11. I still proclaim my innocence. heh.

  12. Hello, tis James, Friend or Bryan. He brought to my attention this here post and felt the need to comment on it, so despite proclaiming his innocence, he has admitted to posting comments as others.

fistfulofsand (Bryan): holy crap read what i wrote in the comments

    commissarxiii(James): yeah yeah yeah

    fistfulofsand: lol

    commissarxiii: I’m reading them

    fistfulofsand: idk

commissarxiii: Was it you or not!?!?

fistfulofsand: i did a few times
but the example he found seriously wasn’t me
and i remember i had done it.. like.. a few months before that post and he never noticed it

commissarxiii: So, I can feel free to inform him of this?

    fistfulofsand: no
and i just posted a comment to that post saying “I still proclaim my innocence”

    commissarxiii: no seriously
I’m leaving a comment with this conversation

    fistfulofsand: no
    alright yes
    do it
    seriously

commissarxiii: why so you can deny that too?
    :P

    fistfulofsand: LOL… it’d be funny

This also gives you an idea of the crap we talk about. :D

  13. Lol, nice, James :-)

  14. Wow…talk about digging up old dirt!

  15. No kidding… Comes as a result of the Random posts tab in the sidebar, which I’ve enjoyed really having around. Interesting to read what I wrote years ago.
