Illinois and North Carolina will face each other on Monday night for the NCAA tournament championship.

I’m pulling for UNC for a couple of reasons. First, if UNC wins, I’ll tie for first in my company’s office pool. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to win since Illinois won yesterday (I picked Arizona in the final game), but I’ll tie if UNC wins.

Secondly, I like Roy Williams. I liked him at Kansas and I still like him even though he’s at UNC. It’s about time he won a championship.

Lastly, I’m not a fan of Illinois. I don’t particularly like the coach or the players.

I’m hoping the championship game will be an exciting, close game, and considering these were the top two teams for a good chunk of the season, it should be. UNC may have some problems with Illinois’ many NBA caliber players, but I think some of them will have off games, while UNC turns up their game, and UNC will win by 6.
