Google Sightseeing

Can’t find the time or the finances to take a road trip or vacation? How about some Google Sightseeing instead? Okay, it’s not as fun by any means, but it’s still interesting. This site lists interesting images from Google’s latest addition to it’s mapping service - satellite images from Keyhole.

What are your favorites from this site? Any that you would like to see on there? See if you can find your house or another fun location on Google maps. Since I live in a newer neighborhood (about 2 yrs old), neither my house nor my section of the subdivision are on the maps.

  1. I thought this was pretty cool Chris. I find satellite pics pretty fascinating! Also I think one of the best ways to freak someone out is to send them a satellite pic of their house. Tell them you’re watching them or something.

  2. Go to Washington DC and look for the White House. You can zoom in really far and everything is in focus, except they blurred out the white house…interesting…;-)

  3. Here’s the airplane graveyard that I mentioned to some of you on Saturday
