Long Time, No Blog

Hmm, seems that it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted. It actually doesn’t feel like it was that long ago, though. Guess the days are just going by too quickly. Lately, there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day, and I’m sure that many of you feel the same way, or can at least relate. Since summer is around the corner, and with Daylight Saving Time in effect, I’m spending more time outside and less time at the computer. When I am at the computer, I try to clean out my email inbox, which promptly gets full again. Doesn’t leave much time to blog, either reading blogs or writing new posts.

Speaking of reading, I have quite a few books lined up to read. Don’t think I’ve had a queue this large for some time. Having to get up so early means cutting back on my reading time at night, so I don’t get through books as quickly as I used to. Here are *some* of the books that are on my reading list, in the order that I think I’m gonna read them:

As some of you may know, my brother and Elizabeth are getting married May 28. Wow, it’ll be here before we know it! I made a website for them, so they can share their story and information on the wedding. If you’re interested, check it out at http://www.chrisvaught.com/wedding.

I’m trying to plan a clean, yet fun, bachelor party for him and need some ideas. It’ll be in Lexington, since that’s where practically everyone who would come lives. I wanted to go to a Lexington Legends game, but that’s not gonna work out. Instead, I think we’ll go to Buffalo Wild Wings, go on a “scavenger hunt,” then maybe laser tag or bowling if we have time. I’m trying to come up with ideas for the scavenger hunt - some fun, but embarrassing, things that we can get David to do. If you have any ideas, feel free to IM or email them to me.

A heads-up on some changes that will be happening in the next month or so. Once again, I’m switching web hosts. Yeah, yeah, I know that it seems like I’m constantly changing things (registrars, web hosts, blogging software, etc), but pair.com is just too expensive. I didn’t have any problems with them and was happy with their service, but bluehost.com offers the same features while giving me more disk space and more bandwidth at a much lower price. So, over the months between now and the start of June, I will be moving the website to bluehost. I’m not about to say that the change will go smoothly, since none of my previous moves were successful first time around, so please be patient if you encounter problems during that time. Also, keep an eye out for new designs (yes, that’s plural) and features when I go live with the switch.

For anyone in the are who’s interested, we’re going to try to play ultimate Frisbee this coming Sunday, April 24th, weather permitting. We’ll play at 4pm at the field across from my neighborhood. Contact me if you need directions. I’ve heard all kinds of weather reports for this weekend, from warm and dry to cold and snowy . Come on, weathermen, make up your mind! Sunny and in the 60s would be perfect!

Well, it’s time to turn in for the night. Have a great Friday everyone!
