The Amazing Race 7

Tonight was the final episode of The Amazing Race 7. The winners…Uchenna and Joyce! Yes! I really liked this team. They played smart, never gave up, treated each other well, were nice to all the other teams and people that they met along the way, etc… Coming in second were Rob and Amber, former Survivor contestants. Even though they (read: Rob) lied, cheated, and didn’t play a very nice game at all, you have to give them credit for their gutsy moves and smart plays along the way. Third place went to Ron and Kelly, who I didn’t like at all. All in all, I liked this season of the show.

the only episode this season i watched was the finale. (i did watch pieces of the episode with the books)

i was really excited about uchenna and joyce. they were just all around great people, especially with waiting to pay the cabbie when they were so close to the finish line. i have a love/hate relationship w/ rob and amber. i totally hatted ron and kelly. so the outcome was right for me.

i agree wtih both of you. Imagine if Rob and “Ambuh” woudl have won - the conspiracy theorists would have been all over that.

Jez : Don't know if I've said it yet. If not, then I'm sorry...but thanks for the donation for the walk!!!
Chris : I'm a few chapters in, haven't gotten to the more controversial part yet, but so far, I don't like his writing style at all. Going to be hard to stay with it...
David : Hows the book? I've heard a lot of people reading it and saying it's good.
Bryan : The gas run in the south is because of Hurricane Ike and the possibility of a shortage from the storm knocking refineries out of commission for a while.
Chris : Might have saved us today, but I shudder to think about what this is doing to tomorrow... The next gen is going to be screwed. I'm working on a post...
David : As I too will never understand people. And yes I know, long term...just let it ride. I was asking about a post on economics because of the drastice measures the Feds are taken, and the debts the Gov. is taking on etc. Heard a few pundits say yesterday the steps taken yesterday most likley saved us from "Great Depression the Sequel." Wonder how true that may have been.
Chris : Oh, and follow that by "and this is why your portfolio should be diversified".Ca n't believe TN is out of gas...how'd that happen? Didn't realize companies going bankrupt led to runs on gas...I'll never understand people...
Chris : My post would basically say "breathe, take a chill pill, it's gonna be fine" followed by a "you are out of debt and in charge of your finances, right? If not, what more motivation do you need..." followed by "see how the markets dropped 500 one day and rose 400 the next? you can't predict it, and the more you try to hop on and off, the worse it is. long term, baby, long term...leave it sitting there"
David : You should do a post on the economic crisis. Things are out of control. Aside (Nashville is out of gas). It is really crazy down here.

Scott : Well it looks like the next paintball game will have to be in October. I'm going to TN to do a centry ride on teh 20th and the 27th I'm doing a spin-a-thon to rais money for LAF (Lance Armstrong Foundation)...I don't liek waiting to play paintball! lol
Chris : Thanks for the heads up, Sabrina. I have class that night so I wouldn't be able to make it, but if you end up going, let me know how it is and what they have to say about it. I'm probably going to start reading it soon.
Sabrina : Chris, not sure if you would be interested, but you were asking about the Shack and thought I would let you know. Crossroads is doing a 6 weeks book study on this on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30.
Scott : hhmm Yeah I like the fort ideas...Just need to get more people wanting and able to play...
Chris : Yeah, ran out of ideas this week, so I recycled one of the oldest polls.
Bryan : You had that same poll a few years back, Chris. I still vote Winter.
Chris : Hmm, good call, Justin. We could also add another game to the list - storm the fort!
Justin : A perfect place for a fort would be up the hill straddling the creek. It could act as a 3rd base or the starting point for the flag in capture the flag.
Chris : It looks to be working now...guess there's just a delay. Thanks for the donation!!!
Jez : I think the thermometer on your fundraising website isn't working.
Scott : Yeah free play for however long beats 25.00 for 2 hours! I should go look at the field and see if it needs any work...I have some more wood for it...

Chris : Sabrina, you're still at Crossroads, right? I'll have to check out that board to see their opinions. Pretty controversial from what I've heard, almost along the lines of The Da Vinci Code.
