I was kinda dissapointed in that. It could have been a lot better.

I just moved back to Bowling Green from Villa Hills. We were almost neighbors.

Read “Curious Incident” back in the spring. Loved it. What do you think?

  4. Chris says:

Hey Derick, thanks for stopping by. I actually lived in Cresent Springs for a couple years ago, so we were really close neighbors then.

I like “Curious Incident” so far. Unique idea for a story, and the author pulls it off well. The perspective from which the novel is told is very interesting and the elements of mystery, geekiness and humor make for a quirky and enjoyable read. I’m about 2/3 of the way through it, so I should finish it within the next week. I hope the end of the story isn’t disappointing…

  5. Derick says:

Well, honestly, I don’t think the book gets any better than that first chapter. But, those illustrations are entertaining throughout. You’re right on when you mention the perspective from which the book is written. To get inside an autistic kid’s head requires something, we’ll call it talent, and makes for a unique approach.

  6. Chris says:

Talent indeed and I agree, those illustrations add quite a bit to it. Simple, yet funny.

Know of any other good books by Mark Haddon? Have you read “Life of Pi?” I’d recommend it if you haven’t.
