Morris to Return for Sophomore Season
ESPN.com is reporting that 6-foot-10 center Randolph Morris wants to return to Kentucky for his sophomore season. Morris left after a less that stellar freshman season to pursue the NBA, but went undrafted. Having never hired an agent, the door was left open for his return to the team, though many fans doubted his ego would let him come back. The exact conditions for his return are still being hammered out, however. According to NCAA rules, Morris will have pay back expenses that NBA teams covered in the course of his workouts, in addition to sitting out several games.
Even though his presence in the paint would greatly help out the Wildcats, I’m not so sure I’m looking forward to his return. Chances are he would only be back for one season, and he would spend much of that season showboating his talents and playing to the scouts. He’s not the kind of team player that we want and I’m thinking he could potentially hurt the team more than help it. Let’s just hope Tubby can keep him and the other star talents (such as Rajon Rando) focused on the team aspect of the game and a National Championship.

So which booster will bail him out on the NBA camp costs?

Who knows… This has happened before with other players, and I don’t see how they can afford it. Maybe some payment type plan is setup, or something along those lines.
