Pictures from the parties this weekend are up. They’re in the gallery

Guess who! Doesn’t have the same effect as in person, but you get the picture…

I think I posted a MSN quiz like this some time ago, but this one’s different.

Could You Pass 8th Grade Math?

***You Passed 8th Grade Math***
Congratulations, you got 9/10 correct!

Look to the comments for the question that I missed.

For those of you in the area, come on out to my third annual fall celebration/costume party – tonight (Sun, Oct 30) at 5pm. We’ll have the typical food, candy, games, movies, etc. If it’s still light out, and not too cold, we’ll get started with some cornhole, croquet or Jarts :-) Dress up in a costume if you want, but still come even if you don’t have one. If you need directions, contact me. Hope to see you all there!

One year ago today, I went with my friends Lori, Jennifer and Jeff to Jeff’s parents house to take a look at some kittens. I came home later that afternoon with my Smokey. It’s been a learning and growing year for the both of us, but we’re still talking to each other, so that’s a good sign :-) Happy anniversary Smokey!

Yahoo! has a sale on domain names, offering them for $2.99/year (limit 1) until Oct 31. Can’t pass that up! I can’t decide which domain to buy next, though. I already own kyblogger.com, chrisvaught.com and digitalwilderness.net. Some domains that I have in mind are:

  • wildernessglenn.com (my middle name is Glenn)
  • AdamAgain.us (from a Supertones song)
  • IAmUnderstood.com (RelientK song)
  • kentuckyblog.com
  • kentuckyblogger.com
  • kentuckybloggers.com
  • kybloggers.com

Those last two would potentially be used as a portal for KY bloggers some day, though that’s a ways down the road. kyblogs.com, which seemed promising, hasn’t been updated for some time.

Which of those domain do you like best? Any suggestions on other domain names? Should I stick with .com since it seems to seems to be the most popular or start branching out into .us, .name, etc? I would like to go on and get a domain for my internet café, but I don’t know what the name will be yet. I really like Beyond the Brim, but the domain is taken and there’s a coffeeshop by that name in Owensboro…

I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog front lately. It’s not that I haven’t had time or motivation to write, I just haven’t thought of anything to write about. My drafts have largely been used up and I haven’t stumbled across anything on other blogs that has been really interesting and fitting to share. Lol, only on blogs will you find somebody writing about the fact that they have nothing to write about ;-) So, I guess I’ll do a quick, general update on things.

No word on the job transfer yet. My résumé and transfer request are in, but they haven’t started interviewing yet. Hopefully that’ll start this week or next.

Brr, the weather has been downright cold lately. Where did my 60-70 degree temps go?!? They went from the mid to upper 80s straight down to the 40s and 50s.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I did end up getting the RAZR phone. I like it! I got a pretty good deal on it, too, which definitely made me happy. I’ve never been one to wear a phone on my hip (that’s my brother ;-) ), choosing to keep it in my pocket instead, so the flatness of this phone is perfect for me. It’s got a nice, large color screen and I love having the capability to check scores and such (my previous phone wasn’t internet ready). I also like that I can customize the backgrounds and ring tones. Since the phone has a USB connection, I can download mp3s from my computer to use as ring tones. Right now, it’s set to the theme from Tales from the Crypt. :-) I’m still getting the hang of the built-in camera, but sadly, the resolution doesn’t seem to be good enough for regular use. Other than that, I have no complaints. The RAZR was a good investment, especially since I’m getting rid of my land line.

Busy week ahead – dinner at PF Chang’s with co-workers on Tues, hopefully some tennis on Wed, a play on Thurs, haunted corn maze on Friday, a friend’s party on Saturday, then my party on Sunday. Don’t forget Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am on Sunday (set your clocks back and gain that extra hour of sleep before going to bed on Saturday night).

I’m finally going to make another trip down to Nashville to see my brother and his wife, too. I’ll be heading down there the first weekend of November. It’s been almost a year since I was down there last, so it’s long overdue. I have seen him other times throughout the year, but it’s nice to make the road trip to some place different. Hope the weather is nice.

OK, that’s all I have for now. Hopefully the creative juices will start flowing again soon.
