All Quiet on the Blog Front

2

I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog front lately. It’s not that I haven’t had time or motivation to write, I just haven’t thought of anything to write about. My drafts have largely been used up and I haven’t stumbled across anything on other blogs that has been really interesting and fitting to share. Lol, only on blogs will you find somebody writing about the fact that they have nothing to write about ;-) So, I guess I’ll do a quick, general update on things.

No word on the job transfer yet. My résumé and transfer request are in, but they haven’t started interviewing yet. Hopefully that’ll start this week or next.

Brr, the weather has been downright cold lately. Where did my 60-70 degree temps go?!? They went from the mid to upper 80s straight down to the 40s and 50s.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I did end up getting the RAZR phone. I like it! I got a pretty good deal on it, too, which definitely made me happy. I’ve never been one to wear a phone on my hip (that’s my brother ;-) ), choosing to keep it in my pocket instead, so the flatness of this phone is perfect for me. It’s got a nice, large color screen and I love having the capability to check scores and such (my previous phone wasn’t internet ready). I also like that I can customize the backgrounds and ring tones. Since the phone has a USB connection, I can download mp3s from my computer to use as ring tones. Right now, it’s set to the theme from Tales from the Crypt. :-) I’m still getting the hang of the built-in camera, but sadly, the resolution doesn’t seem to be good enough for regular use. Other than that, I have no complaints. The RAZR was a good investment, especially since I’m getting rid of my land line.

Busy week ahead – dinner at PF Chang’s with co-workers on Tues, hopefully some tennis on Wed, a play on Thurs, haunted corn maze on Friday, a friend’s party on Saturday, then my party on Sunday. Don’t forget Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am on Sunday (set your clocks back and gain that extra hour of sleep before going to bed on Saturday night).

I’m finally going to make another trip down to Nashville to see my brother and his wife, too. I’ll be heading down there the first weekend of November. It’s been almost a year since I was down there last, so it’s long overdue. I have seen him other times throughout the year, but it’s nice to make the road trip to some place different. Hope the weather is nice.

OK, that’s all I have for now. Hopefully the creative juices will start flowing again soon.

In my defense I do the phone on the hip, so I can hear it when it rings, get to it easier, but most of all so I don’t break off the antennae. I use to put one in my pocket but when I would sit down it would bend the antennae and eventually broke within a month. Looking forward to the visit. Have your birthday presents already lined up, and so you know it’s just as chilly down here. Woke up this morning to 39 on the tv. Kind of skipped the fall around here as well.

i wouldn’t go to the corn maze anymore, Chris.

Unfortunatly Mike Darring doesn’t own it anymore. thanks solely Bruce Ferganson that is. Now that con artist (pooly) runs all that grazing area and corn fields. *sigh*

And I wouldn’t support him after all the garbage he pulled this summer in Boone County anyway.

I purposly chose not to work at the haunted maze this year (or the regular one for that matter) because I’d be working directly for that loser. I used to have so much respect for him, but not so anymore.
(i probably mispelled so many words in there heh)
