Nashville Notes

As most of you know, I took a trip down to Nashville with my parents this past weekend. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was absolutely perfect with sunny skies and highs in the 70s. Awesome!

We arrived in Nashville around Friday evening and just hung out with David and Elizabeth, catching up on things and celebrating my birthday with peach ice cream and brownies. Mmm!

Saturday dawned a perfect day. David and Elizabeth fixed me a nice breakfast then I started work on fixing his laptop as he and my dad worked on putting down a new floor at the entrance of the condo.

Around noon, I left the two working men to go meet Amy at Jackson’s for lunch., where we ate outside (did I mention how great the weather was? :-) ). It was decent food, though Amy’s meal was over-cheesed (inside joke…). Afterwards, we went back to her place to meet her roommate - Jenn Webber. Andrew, Jenn’s boyfriend, was also there, so we hung out for a bit and played some Apples to Apples. I got creamed! I think it was a conspiracy, since I didn’t even get any cards! ;-)

After the game, Amy and I headed out to find a geocache. This was her first time geocaching, but I think she enjoyed it. We went for a cache in Edwin Warner park, at gravity hill - one of those hills where you can roll “uphill,” though this one was apparently broken… Amy was the one who found the cache after about 30-40 mins of searching. Go Amy!

After finding the cache, I headed back to David’s place to spend the evening with them. Since we were all hot and sweaty, we just decided to order in pizza and play some games. Dad taught us a new card game, but didn’t remember what it was called. Who knows if we were actually playing it right :-)

On Sunday, we all went to Brentwood Baptist Church. It was a pretty nice service, with a large choir and an orchestra.

Well, that’s a quick rundown of the weekend. I gotta get to work now, though.

  1. So has it not been working right since we were there in August?

  2. Lol, nope, it hasn’t worked right since then. Well, it worked except for the fact that it couldn’t get on the internet. It’s all better now, though.

I’m so glad! Maybe it’s a good policy to not work on someone’s computer unless you have both time and an appropriate OS installation disk! That’s what I took away from my visit down there… I can only imagine what David took away from the visit. :-)

  4. Hey we got two weekends of visitors out of it! I’m not complaining about the computer! Nick, Chris, or Ashlee you are all welcome to come back down to fix or to unfix anything. :)

  5. I’ll be down there soon enough!

  6. Awesome blog you have. I enjoyed reading it this evening.
    Peace
