2006 Goals - May in Review

2006 Goal Tracking

  • Learn to whistle loudly using my fingers
No progress yet; still just blowing air
  • Learn three five card tricks
No new progress - still two down, three to go.
  • Learn five origami models
Completed - I’ve learned/relearned the crane, the flapping crane, the frog, the waterbomb and the iris.
  • Redecorate/organize my family room and den and spare bedroom
No new progress this past month. However, I should be finishing up at least one room this month. I have some days off towards the end of the month that I’ve been waiting for.
  • Get involved in a puppet team
    No new progress.
  • Take a another small business development class
Completed - I went to the class “Secrets to Starting Your Own Business” in Feb. I’m waiting for the next round of free seminars offered by the SBDC at NKU
  • Get A+, i-Net+ and/or SAS certified
    No new progress.
  • Take a week-long vacation; visit another state/national park on my list
I might have to rethink my trip to the northeast due to financial reasons. Visiting Shenandoah National Park is looking like plan B.
  • Find a church home
No new progress - I’ve been to a couple of Baptist churches in the area, but they were…uh…boring, without many people my age.
  • Have a consistent daily quiet time
    No new progress.
  • Memorize 200 Bible verses
I’ve spent the last two months reinforcing the approximately 110 verses that I had memorized. This month I’ll start memorizing new ones again.
  • Swing dance once a month on average
Swing dancing has taken a big hit with this 5K training.
  • Be more punctual
    Not a good month…
  • Run a 5K
The big race is this coming Sunday. I’ll let you know how it goes!

  1. So I’ll teach you as many card tricks as you want, if you explain to me why Applebees at 10:00 is too late for you…
