Sick

Ugh, I’m sick. I’m not feeling well at all. It hit me two weekends ago and has progressively gotten worse. It started with some congestion and just a general “blah” feeling and now I’ve got a cough that won’t go away, sore throat, achy body and feel exhausted.

The weekend this all started was the end of a very stressful two weeks at work, one that saw my workload almost triple due to people being out of the office for various reasons. I was able to successfully get everything that needed to be accomplished done, and in a timely manner as well(which felt really good considering I’m still one of the newer kids on the block), but I had to push myself really hard. That weekend wasn’t as relaxing as it probably should have been, either. I did some yard work on that Saturday in the 95+ degree heat and almost passed out. Then I had a softball doubleheader on Sunday, also in the heat. In addition to that, haven’t been sleeping well. I guess I should seriously think about a new mattress, though I really don’t want to sink that money into one right now. I think the combination of the stress, the heat and the lack of sleep all hit me that weekend and I’m feeling the affects of it now.

Ugh.

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming vacation, mostly for the time off work, though it’ll be good to get away and relax. My poor body needs it.

Hey, at least the Reds kicked some booty tonight!

  1. Last time I felt crummy, I took 1000cc’s of vitamin C per day and drank 2 liters of green tea a day too (along with a nightly dose of Nyquil!). I felt much better in a couple days.

  2. Sorry that you are feeling so crummy. Get better soon!

As for the Reds, they may have kicked some booty last night but they got mauled the night before. Go CARDS!!

  3. eh, take your flinstones vitamins everyday, you’ll never get sick!(well i’d seriously suggest taking a multivitamin of some kind, i can testify to it ‘working’)

well now, it seems i’m right when it comes to sports, the outdoors and the sun… SEE!.. They’re all BAD and should be avoided! baseball and the sun nearly killed ya! :D hah…

and if you have trouble sleeping during the night, just flip on c2cAM, and lye (lay, lie?) down on the floor if you’d like…

You can trust me, right?.. After all, I’m the pinnacle of health and fitness. ;-)?

    (sarcasm, i love it…)

  4. Have you tried ColdEzz? It packs a punch of Zinc and is (from a double blind test) proven to cut your sick time down by almost half and significantly decrease your symtoms. I have used it and it really seems to help. Feel better.

  5. I’m better now. Thanks everyone!
