2006 Goals - August in Review

2006 Goal Tracking

  • Learn to whistle loudly using my fingers
    Argh!
  • Learn three five card tricks
I’m in the process of learning my fourth.
  • Learn five origami models
Completed - I’ve learned/relearned the crane, the flapping crane, the frog, the waterbomb and the iris.
  • Redecorate/organize my family room and den and spare bedroom
This goal is done for the time being. Other things are taking financial priority right now.
  • Get involved in a puppet team
I’m the proud owner of two puppets and have plans for the stage.
  • Take a another small business development class
Completed - I went to the class “Secrets to Starting Your Own Business” in Feb. I’m waiting for the next round of free seminars offered by the SBDC at NKU
  • Get A+, i-Net+ and/or SAS certified
    No new progress
  • Take a week-long vacation; visit another state/national park on my list
Mindy and I will be tackling the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah NP in October.
  • Find a church home
I’m getting involved in a cell (community) group, but that still doesn’t help with the church hunt. At least it’s something, though.
  • Have a consistent daily quiet time
Still not where I want to be, but it’s clicked the last couple of weeks - and feels really good.
  • Memorize 200 Bible verses
    153 down…
  • Swing dance once a month on average
Haven’t been in a while again…way behind on the average.
  • Be more punctual
Punctuality for work has really suffered this month, but everything else has been good. :-)
  • Run a 5K
    Completed
