Super Bowl Recap
*yawn* Another not very exciting Superbowl. But before I get into that…
w00t! Congratulations Colts!

I’m not so sure that the Colts really won it as much as the Bears lost it, but a win’s a win! It was a very sloppy game, making it hard to believe these were the two best teams in the league, but it could have been worse considering it rained the entire game. Each team had their share of turnovers and bad plays, but the difference was that the Colts had trouble at the beginning of the game and got over it while the Bears lost it towards the end. I’m happy for Peyton Manning and even more so for Tony Dungy that the Colts won. Dungy seems like a really fine coach and all around great guy.
As for the halftime show…double *yawn*. Prince as the entertainment? Gimme a break. You can really tell they’re trying to play it safe after that whole Wardrobe Malfunction debacle. The entertainment since then has consisted of Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones and Prince…all “older” musicians. I’m kinda tired of all these musical productions they put on; I’m ready for something different.
Did anyone else think about Robin Hood: Men in Tights during the halftime show?
I know my party had a good laugh about that.
Even the commercials weren’t very good this year. It actually seemed like there were more ads for CBS’ shows, like Survivor and Criminal Minds, than actual commercials. I’m going to have to watch some online since I was distracted and don’t remember many, but as of now, I guess the Career Builder commercials were the best.
What are your thoughts on the game, the halftime show and the commercials?

i don’t know if i’d actually call getting prince to play the half time show “playing it safe”, but he’s still pretty old. at least he’s a little edgier than grandfather mccartney and old as stones.

Commercials were not near as good as I remember them being in years past.
I didn’t watch the halftime show, I made it a point to skip it, being Prince and all. Actually, I was driving from one gathering to another.
Overall, I’d say Super Bowl XLI sucked! (yes, I am a Bears fan)

Price is good entertainment and one of the best guitar playing entertianers around. His ability to play his music, play to the crowd, and dance without lip syncing? Not many performers can follow that.
As for the game, I think the rain really brought out the best/worst in the teams and truly shows where a team can shine. Would the bears have won if it was sunny/played in a dome? Who knows, but would that have shown that they are the better team?
As for the commercials, I was *extremely* disapointed by them. I really watch the superbowl for the ads, and I don’t think many of them were good. What a waste of 2.6million. Guess I’ll have to find a site that has them too, so I can see if there were some I missed.

Super Bowl what is that, is it over, ooops I guess I missed it. And nobody has responded yet to Chris’s poll on his website about the game, just an FYI. Additional commentary to be posted on my site soon.
