Ah, finally a good snow! It’s not really winter until we’ve had a nice multi-inch snow that brings the city to it’s knees. Right now, there’s a little over an inch on the ground, with up to 6 more on the way. Thankfully, I was allowed to leave work early - and not a moment too soon. As much as I love when it snows, I hate driving in it. The Mustang doesn’t handle slick roads very well at all. I left around 1:45pm and the normal 25 min drive took more than twice as long. The roads weren’t bad, either icy or backed up, when I first left, but by the time I got to halfway home, the snow was piling up quick and the traffic had slowed to a crawl. Even now, the tire tracks in my driveway from 30 minutes ago are gone. I’m home now, thinking about what chore I should tackle first. How about curling up on the couch with a bowl of ice cream and a movie? Sounds good to me! Travel safely everyone, and stay warm!

In other news, keep my maternal grandpa in your prayers. He’s currently in the hospital with some heart issues. He went in for outpatient surgery, but the doctors noticed his heart was racing and decided to keep him overnight for observation. Hopefully it’s just the anxiety and nervousness surrounding the surgery and not anything worse and he can be released tomorrow.
