Come Back Spring

It’s supposed to be 81 today…and 44 on Wednesday. What?!? It gets better. Flurries on Thursday. But wait, there’s more - it’ll feel like 5 degrees on Saturday night. Yeah, you read that right. I didn’t leave out a digit. Five degrees. Come back spring!!!

  1. And on a completely unrelated note….what’s up with your trackback? I’ve tried on two different posts and it didn’t work. It actually updated your counter on the Flying Pig post, but it didn’t show up. Says you have 6 comments, but there are only 5. The other post it didn’t do anything.

  2. Hmm, I had noticed a few comment counters that didn’t match the number of comments, but didn’t know what was going on. Didn’t think about trackback…I’ll have to look into that.

  3. Your authimage always messes me up.

  4. I just upgraded my WP install. If you don’t mind, try a trackback on this post, Jeremy…

  5. Nope, still not working. When I click on your trackback link, it goes to ‘http://kyblogger.com/2007/04/03/come-back-spring/’, however at the bottom of the browser it says the trackback link is ‘http://kyblogger.com/2007/04/03/come-back-spring/trackback/’. I tried putting both in, one at a time, and the one ending with trackback updated your counter but nothing showed up. I really think it has to do with your image verification. I did a trackback before you were using it and it worked fine back then. I’m telling ya, you need to switch over to Spam Karma 2…I’ve had no issues with it. It blocks spam, purges it from the database on a regular basis, and hasn’t let one spam comment through or blocked one valid comment on my site!!

  6. Hmm…after I posted that last comment the counter now matches the number of comments, and there is an unreadable box that if you highlight says “Your comment is awating moderation”. When I did the trackback the counter was off, just like before. How strange!

  7. Sorry, it just hit me that it went to your moderation queue because I posted links in it.

  8. hey another off the subject comment… hi no time no talk and see! I was thinking about you the other day and I remembered talking to Mindy and she had told me that you guys went on a backpacking trip a while ago… anywho I was wandering if you want to plan or already have planned another one with a group of people. I would love to go somewhere this summer for a week or so… just an idea! Let me know :)

  9. Once spring does come back, are you going to be planning an ultimate frisbee game anytime soon?

  10. Hi Elissa!!! Long time indeed! I’d love to plan another backpacking trip, though not quite as aggressive as the one Mindy and I went on :-) Maybe we can hit Red River Gorge or the Smokey Mtns sometime.

Mindy, yeah, as soon as I get some free time, I’ll start planning an ultimate game. And if the weather decides to get warm again, too…

  11. I removed the Captcha image, but I’m getting spam comments already…looks like I’m going to have to turn it back on again. I might try for a different version, though.

  12. I’m telling you, give Spam Karma 2 a try!

  13. Trackback Test Version 2…

    Another test for Chris.

    ……

  14. Hey, look…it worked without your Captcha!

  15. Hmm, yeah, I guess the Captcha was messing it up. Never thought about that. Might have to give Spam Karma 2 a try, though I think I did before and didn’t have any luck.
