Kentucky’s New Coach
Former Texas A&M coach, Billy Gillispie, has been announced and officially introduced as UK’s new coach.

Not sure how I feel about this choice. He supposedly has a good work-ethic and is a great recruiter, but does his personality fit with UK? What’s his coaching style like? Guess we’ll find out. At least we have a coach now, and the recruiting can pick up where it left off.

well, i guess it’s best to have low expectations. maybe i’ll be like, “oh my dang! this guy is like the yanni of college basketball… only not a douche bag that play crappy music.” maybe i’ll like him. we’ll see.

After reading all the reports and listening to news conferences, I am excited about this hire. The players seem to be excited. He definitely has a love for basketball. I look forward to seeing a more up-tempo style of basketball in Rupp and I cannot watch to watch the game up here next season. Where is the schedule?

Schedule hasn’t been released yet, and probably won’t for several months still.

The Kentucky Florida game at Rupp will be very interesting. And how about Pelphrey. Be interesting if Kentucky plays Arkansas at home this year to see the reception he would get.

I think it is great to see a Kentucky connection in a big conference like the SEC. I haven’t heard much about Pelphrey so I am interested to see what he has in his pocket.
Thanks for bursting my bubble that I have to try to sit patiently several more months until I see the basketball schedule for the upcoming season. I am already having basketball withdrawal.
