AVI to DVD Help
Help! This has been a problem I haven’t been able to solve for some time now, but I know there’s got to be a way to do it, so I’m caving and asking for some help. I’ve done some googling on this, but haven’t found anything that works 100% of the time, or 100% of the way. I’m trying to burn AVI files to DVD. I’m using WinAVI to convert the files to DVD format (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS) then I’m planning on using Nero Burning Rom to burn these files to DVD. However, I’m still having trouble converting them. The video appears fine, but there’s no audio.
Any digerati or others out there who can help me out? What programs do you use to get AVI files burned to DVD?

Have you tried DVD2SVCD? You can download a trial version that will do 50% of your movie to see if you like it ;-). It’s classified as adware because it shows ads when it is running, but I don’t think it installs anything other than the program on your pc. I’ve never used it because I really don’t have any AVI’s that I want to convert to DVD, but I came across it when finding some other file conversion software. It sounded promising, but then again it could be another glorified adware piece of crap. Worth giving a try, though.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but I’d try searching for the solution on Yahoo! Answers. And if you don’t find what you want, ask it! Ask it at around 8:30pm, you’ll get the most answers then (hopefully one of them would be what you’re looking for.) You’d be surprised how much that community can help out on a number of topics.

I’ve searched Google and there are many programs that supposedly will do what I want, but they’re either full of ad/spyware, cost something, or don’t work.
