Fall and Halloween
Fall will be officially here in two weeks. Yay! I love that time of year. And this year looks like it will be a great fall! I have four road trips in the works thus far - North Carolina, Nashville and Gatlinburg/Smokies Mtns. x2 - as well as my big 3-0 birthday shindig. Wow, 30? Say it ain’t so! It’s all in the mind (except when me friends constantly remind me how old I am), and I don’t really feel like I’m 30, so I’m just using it as an excuse to celebrate for weeks.
Halloween is right around the corner, too. Last year, I waited until the last minute and ended up with a lame scarecrow costume, though I guess it turned out okay considering I got it together the night before Bill’s party. This year, I want to try to top my punk rocker outfit from two years ago. That will be hard to do, though… I have a few ideas in mind, but I’m not sold on any of them yet… I’m looking for something unique, not a band wagon costume (Pirates, Harry Potter, Spiderman, etc.) or anything too cheesy. My thoughts thus far are - one of the Thundercats, a Muppet, Blacknight (from Monty Python), Bob Ross, a Musketeer or Aragorn (yeah, sort of band wagon, but I do have the sword already!)
Any ideas or thoughts?

Ben and I have talked for the past couple years about going as Kermit and Miss Piggy. He has also talked about going as the Sweedish Chef. Maybe this year or some year we could all cordinate a Muppets ensemble. Talk to Ben. I bet he’d be all for it!

Big 3-0 eh? Its not as bad as it sounds
I’ll be 32 this year…now *that* is old. Right Scott?

Yes 32 is older than 30, but it does not seem as daunting as hitting the big 3-0.
Chris…I have no clue who might remind you about turning 30. Actually to think about it, I don’t think I have been reminding you too much about it, but thanks for the reminder
I will have to get on that one.
Wow…I’m impressed with all of your road trips. Sounds like you will be concluding your 20s with a smash. All of my friends keep making me think that I need to do something big and exciting before I turn 30, but there seems to be exactly no time to concoct anything besides a big paper with a presentation (on my birthday) and another presentation that I am really hoping does not fall due the day after my birthday.
Is this big 3-0 birthday bash open to friends? Just checking to see, if I need to attempt to chisel a spot out of my calender now before it feels up with school and more school.
Mentioning of school, I have a 7-page paper to get back to. I really am not big into personal reflection papers.

Of course the birthday bash will be open to friends! I’m not gonna celebrate it alone!
It’ll be on Saturday, Nov 3rd. Invites will go out mid October, but go on and chisel out a spot on your calendar

bob ross? holy crap, that would be hilarious! i also like the black night, but you would have to have at least one removable limb… oh, and squirting blood! (but that would probably get you kicked out of peoples’ houses for soiling the carpet.)

Dude, Bob Ross would be hilarious! I haven’t started thinking about costumes, but if I’m going to do a good one for once, I guess that it’s about that time.

I think I’d rather be Brave Sir Robin, though the Black Night would be funny.
