Just when it seemed that UK was turning the corner and pulling things together to make a run for the tournament - they go and get THRASHED at Vanderbilt. I didn’t think UK would win this game against a revenge-minded Commodore team, but I didn’t expect to get WALLOPED by 41 points. I certainly didn’t think they’d be down by 30 at the half - while only scoring 11 points! UK had more turnovers than points in the first half! Ugh… I know UK isn’t a great team this year, but are we really that bad?!? Apparently so… Remember the days when Vandy was the doormat for UK teams? Those memories are getting hazy…

Shoot, offense, defense, hustle, fire, tenacity….I don’t think Kentucky had any clue what any of these were yesterday. There were definitely spurts of it in the second half but not the first half. We will just hope that they got this out of their system and get pumped up and not down on themselves to finish out the season. This definitely killed all chances of getting into the NCAA Tournament. The only hope now is to win the SEC tournament, which will not be easy.
Granted…I think I will take a 41 point loss to Vandy over major NCAA violations that are apparently coming out of the Indiana camp. Sampson has done a good job of turning the crowd and team around, but after this he is done for. Indiana fans definitely want honest, rule abiding play….they will not take this. I will give him to the end of the season just because the school has that long to respond and there is no need to make a knee jerk reaction at this time.
Hmmm you so go Xavier. I am going to add go Purdue and Louisville. Lightning is heading my direction after that comment isnt it. Oh well, need someone to cheer for in the tournament.

Glad I wasn’t at the game last night…but have you seen the message boards for Vandy? Or for the Cats? Some people just need to get a clue.
