   All of those are great, except for the G.I. Joe. One of the greatest cartoons of all time, and G.I. Joe will no longer be a Real American Hero. Nope, they’ll be a Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity. Apparently, the studio thought an American Soldier being a hero wasn’t believable, especially oversees.

   Here’s an older article on the issue. There is a lot of other information out there as well. I, for one, will be boycotting this movie! (sorry if you won’t allow for html in your post)

   See, here’s my gripe, though. They take a basically clean 80’s show, a comic book, an old cartoon, whatever they think has some nostalgic value to the over-35 crowd, then they sleaze it into a PG-13 movie to draw in the teens and 20-somethings, and oh, yeah, it looks like an old kid’s show, so everybody brings their 9-year-old.

   Plus, any reference I may now make to the old show now has PG-13 connotations I’m not even aware of.
