There’s s new addition to the Vaught household this week - a 6wk old kitten named Zipper (a.k.a Bandit or Little One).

My friend Melanie and her husband found him stranded on the side of the road a few days ago. They brought him home but were heading out of town and needed someone to take care of him for a few days. Since I’m a cat person and live just up the road from them, they asked if I would him. I said sure, why not, so now I have a kitten crawling across my keyboard as I type, and I’m not kidding.

He’s so small! With him as a comparison, now I know why everyone says Smokey is so big. Hard to believe Smokey was ever that tiny! Smokey’s been great with his new toy…er…addition, being his usual laid back self, friendly self. It’s hilarious watching them play. Spunky little Bandit running up behind Smokey and swatting at his tail and hindquarters only to find himself smothered under Smokey’s belly moments later. I’m really glad they’re getting along and playing with each other.
